Local Language Learner
I built a fully locally hosted language learner app. It build language lessons based on a 4 year college curriculum, using a local LLM, Qwen TTS, local STT, and comfyUI image gen. I formulates themed lessons, around 'interesting' stories, generates dialogue, images, audio, quizzes, and pronunciation tests. Each lessons progress is tracked and new lessons are generated daily to reinforce concepts and extend past lesson story lines. Overall it acts like a 'Choose your own adventure' book, but you learn while doing it. Currently supports Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. Runs on a 4060 16GB card.
