Lapse

by @hariprasd

Lapse (lapse.in) – a little memory space for my AI agents I kept losing thoughts. An idea would show up while walking, half a sentence before falling asleep, some random connection I knew I’d want later — and by the time I found the right app to write it down, it was gone. So I built Lapse for myself. It’s a memory layer that my AI agents can read from and write to. I can talk to it, dump a thought, or send it something half-formed. I don’t have to worry about folders or organizing anything. The agent figures out where it belongs. There’s MCP for Claude, a simple HTTP API for everything else, and an iPhone Shortcut for quick voice capture. There is alos a chrome extension that pops up on selecting a text & lets you log it as a lapse. This is a closed system which you can use for various use-cases like Journaling, Meeting Notes, Reminder, Second Brain etc.. I’ve been using it every day for a few weeks (150+ lapses) now, mostly for the little things I would've otherwise forgotten. It’s still a very personal project, but it’s becoming a surprisingly useful place for my thoughts to live. There are few other users as well. Read more here - https://hariprasd.me/works/lapse
