Intelligent Email Assistant
I have built an intelligent email product based on MCP and agents, which will be available initially as a ChatGPT app. The codebase is pretty much done (having been written by me over six months with help from Cursor, Codex and Claude Code) and the system is up and running in the cloud (for Gmail and Outlook mailboxes initially but later IMAP providers and others). But the product is only running in private beta right now while I get the relevant approvals from Google, Microsoft and OpenAI, which is turning out to be a tedious process. Why did I build it? Well, there are other email products that connect to (e.g. Gmail/Outlook) mailboxes and use AI to process email content e.g. Superhuman, Shortwave, Saner.AI and the Gmail/Outlook ChatGPT apps etc. But I wanted something that gives a unified interface for all the major providers and works through MCP so it can be used across all top LLMs, open-source or proprietary. I also wanted something privacy-focused that never stores emails: it only processes email content transiently via agents powered by open-source models. These agents derive email intelligence that ChatGPT/Claude etc can query to help the user process/understand their email accounts in more ways than are currently possible with any existing AI-powered email service as far as I know. The ultimate goal is to create a dedicated voice-first provider-agnostic intelligent email service that gets better with time as intelligence is built up about the user and his/her mailboxes. I am actually looking for someone willing to work on this with me as a co-founder, expending blood, sweat and tears, for 50/50 equity and hopefully subsequent honor, recognition and maybe even commercial success. Preferably someone able to meet up in London occasionally. I am not looking for investment of anything other than time and effort (both of which will probably be expended outside of normal working hours for both of us).
