ChatGPT Sol LAN byte test
See how long it takes ChatGPT Sol 5.6 to send a byte across the LAN The problem: I noticed that any VNC client I tried wasn't able to reliably send keystrokes (about a byte on average) on my local wired LAN between a Mac Mini and a Windows desktop, both connected with gigabit ethernet cables to the same router. Keystrokes would constantly drop out. So I asked ChatGPT 5.6 Sol on Max setting to build a solution that is able to send keystrokes without dropping them. It's building it right now. This is a work in progress. So far the previous time to 0 bytes was 5 days for Claude (I then killed the project and tried with Sol) and about 2 days time to 0 bytes for Sol before I had to delete that attempt. This time I'm building this in public so we can all see how long it takes it to get 1 byte across a connected ethernet LAN line without dropping it. Now let's see if Sol can do any better! So far it's been 1 hour 32 minutes and counting... I'll keep updating this for the next two or three months and tens of billions of tokens until it's done! I mean is writing a byte across the network really an O(n^n^n) operation? (8^8 is only 16,777,216 so it's gotta be at least n^n^n.). Big if true!
