I wanted to focus on something that wasn't AI and focus on the 'boring' non-technical parts that I've read so much about but never sunk my teeth into, like distribution and SEO. It's been a really fun experience. As for the space, i.e. Financial Forecasting/Retirement Planning, put simply, financial security is important to me, I want to be able to retire on my own terms and for my family not to have to worry. I personally believe it is incredibly important to become financially literate and work towards financial stability if and when you can. Also though there are a lot of Financial Calculators out there, I just couldn't find one that suited what I wanted, they all just seemed either too simple, didn't focus on what I wanted or purely existed to upsell me to a financial planner or Buyers Agent etc. Haha also, the space if very crowded, in hindsight I would have picked a different space to focus on.
